For this assignment, address the following: -Explain the significance of hiring the right person for the right job and how health care organizations can do so in an ethical manner. -Discuss the following 2 laws: Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970 and Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972, that govern human resources in a typical health care organization. -Explain the concept of pay-for-performance (P4P) in the healthcare industry. Brief description of P4P- “value-based purchasing”, is a payment model that offers financial incentives to physicians, hospitals, medical groups, and other healthcare providers for meeting certain performance measures. Clinical outcomes, such as longer survival, are difficult to measure, so pay for performance systems usually evaluate process quality and efficiency, such as measuring blood pressure, lowering blood pressure, or counseling patients to stop smoking. This model also penalizes health care providers for poor outcomes, medical errors, or increased health care, and outline at least 2 concerns that exist surrounding the concept.
