Compare and Contrast what Greeks and Trojans are fighting for in the Iliad. Ostensibly, one side is defending their homeland while the other is defending their honor, but what other motivations – or combination of motivations- seem to bee in play? Plunder, glory, hatred, pride, bloodlust,self-loathing, rapine, envy… Consider also what motivates the gods to take sides.
