Nurses and nurse practitioners, please help me write a great paper for my nurse education field experience course at Western Governors University. I only need help with F. Evidence Summary, H1. Plan of Action, H2. Timeline, I. APA Sources, and J. Professional Communication. The following are the instructions, rubric, and evaluator response from the first submission. The attached files are the evaluator’s markups for the writing errors and the paper. INTRODUCTION In this task, you will identify a gap in a nursing education program in an academic setting that leaves nurses unprepared to complete a duty in the workplace. You will use the gap you identified to propose a solution for changing the curriculum that addresses the gap in the nursing education program in an academic setting. This solution should be designed for future nurses or nursing students. Your proposed solution will not require you to conduct primary research but should use scholarly, peer-reviewed sources to support the proposed nursing education program improvement. As a result, this project will not require Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval. However, you will be required to conduct a comprehensive literature review of the primary, peer-reviewed studies you will use to identify best practices in support of your proposed solution. REQUIREMENTS Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. An originality report is provided when you submit your task that can be used as a guide. You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course. A. Submit a scanned copy of a legible, completed approval letter from the academic organization where your project will be conducted, using the attached “Organizational Approval Letter Template.” B. Submit a scanned copy of a legible, completed preceptor agreement, using the attached “Field Experience Preceptor Agreement Form Template.” C. Summarize your project by doing the following: 1. Describe the curriculum gap in an academic setting that leaves nurses unprepared to complete a duty in the workplace that your proposal will address. 2. Describe recent internal organizational trends leading up to the gap described in part C1. 3. Explain the specific organizational background causes of the gap identified in part C1. 4. Identify the nurse or nursing student audience that will be the target of your proposal. a. Describe the characteristics of your target audience (e.g. education level, educational setting where the target audience will receive your proposed solution). b. Discuss how your proposal will help the professional development of the target audience identified in part C4. D. Explain your proposed solution (suggested length of 3-5 paragraphs) to address the gap identified in part C1. E. Explain the intended outcomes of your proposed solution. F. Provide an evidence summary synthesizing literature to support the solution you described in part D. G. Provide a final reference list for your evidence summary, in APA format, that includes at least five scholarly, peer-reviewed sources that were published within the last five years. Note: This reference list refers specifically to your evidence summary from part F. H. Explain your proposed implementation plan, including the following: 1. a plan of action 2. a timeline 3. needed resources and personnel 4. the proposed change theory 5. barriers to implementation I. Acknowledge sources, using APA-formatted in-text citations and references, for content that is quoted, paraphrased, or summarized. J. Demonstrate professional communication in the content and presentation of your submission. —————————————————————- RUBRIC F:EVIDENCE SUMMARY The evidence summary is in narrative format and logically synthesizes literature to support the student’s proposed solution. H1. PLAN OF ACTION The explanation of the plan of action is in narrative format and covers all necessary components related to the project. H2. Timeline The explanation of the timeline is in narrative format, includes a detailed overview of the milestones in the proposed implementation plan, and is logically consistent with the information provided about the project. Terminology is pertinent, is used correctly, and effectively conveys the intended meaning. Mechanics, usage, and grammar promote accurate interpretation and understanding. ——————————————————————- EVALUATION REPORT — ATTEMPT 1 — REVISION NEEDED EVALUATOR COMMENTS Professional Communication (Articulation) — This submission describing a knowledge gap is supported by clear, accurate word choices that add variety and credibility to the writing. Recurring errors in sentence fluency, conventions, and parts of speech limit the clarity of the writing and prevent demonstration of competency in Professional Communication. Noted concerns include unclear phrasing, punctuation mistakes, article errors, subject-verb disagreements, usage concerns, and incorrect verb forms. Please review the attached markup document for details regarding the writing errors identified. Additional information regarding the Professional Communication evaluation can be found here: Professional Communication Feedback. Content — The submission clearly provides the capstone proposal focused on creating simulation to address the lack of knowledge related to the early detection of sepsis and the differentiation between the early and late signs of sepsis for nursing students at the identified academic institution. The application of Lewin’s change theory to the implementation process is identified to assist with faculty resistance. The plan is to implement simulation into the Nursing Fundamentals class. What is not found are completed Organizational Approval and Preceptor Agreement Letters, a literature review that synthesizes the information from the literature, and a plan of action and timeline of a detailed overview of the milestones. Deviations in APA style for sources is noted. F. EVIDENCE SUMMARY Approaching Competence The evidence summary is not in narrative format or is a rote summary of the literature without synthesis. Or the evidence summary does not support the student’s proposed solution. EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1 The interesting submission contains a five scholarly however, peer-reviewed articles; however, a rote summary of the article is provided. Please provide a summary of the articles that logically synthesizes the information to support the curriculum proposal. H1. PLAN OF ACTION Approaching Competence The explanation of the plan of action is not in narrative format or is included in the proposed implementation plan but does not cover all necessary components related to the project. EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1 The submission provides an apt discussion of the plan of action consisting of the identification of the gap, which is the early identification of sepsis, the meeting with the preceptor, the literature review, and the instructors teaching the material via simulation. What is not found are all the necessary components related to the project (steps between the literature review and the instructors teaching the material and post instruction information). H2. TIMELINE Approaching Competence The explanation of the timeline is not in narrative format or is included in the proposed implementation plan but is not logical given the information provided about the project. EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1 The submission specifically identifies a 3-week timeline. Week 1 is the identification of the gap and the meeting with the preceptor, week 2 is the literature review and the involvement of the stakeholders, and week 3 involves the work in the Nursing Fundamentals class. What is not found is a detailed overview of the milestones in the proposed implementation plan and a realistic timeline. I. APA SOURCES Approaching Competence The submission includes in-text citations and references for content that is quoted, paraphrased, or summarized but does not demonstrate a consistent application of APA style. EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1 The interesting submission contains in-text citations and a reference list; however, deviations from APA style for sources are noted. • Lack of attribution for all authors, single author and publication date listed • Lack of clear in-text citation for the CDC and for the information regarding financial payment • Improper formatting of in-text citations to include author’s last name and publication date, page number for quotes, punctuation • Improper formatting of reference list, lack of the ampersand sign, lack of sentence case for article title, miss-placed publication date, inclusion of credentials, the incorrect use of et al. in the reference list for the Raines reference • Corresponding in-text citation for the Tiru reference is not found • Incorrect formatting for the Tiru reference, authors, publication date, volume, issue, page, electronic retrieval, italicizing of journal title • Incorrect formatting for “What is sepsis?” The student must carefully review the entire submission to correct the concerns that recur throughout the submission. For specific instruction on in-text citations, reference list citations, and formatting of the paper, please click on the link located in the rubric item I. “APA Style.” Please contact the WGU Writing Center if further assistance is needed. J. PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION Approaching Competence Content is poorly organized, is difficult to follow, or contains errors in mechanics, usage, or grammar that cause confusion. Terminology is misused or ineffective. EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1 This aspect has been evaluated by a Professional Communication evaluator, and a comprehensive summary of the evaluation outcome can be found in the overall comment.
